Got Questions? We've Got Answers
Find answers to common questions about Web3 authentication, staking, spot trading, and security.
How does Web3 wallet authorization work?
KoinWallet uses standard EIP-4361 (Sign-In with Ethereum). When you connect your wallet (MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, Trust Wallet, etc.), you are asked to sign a cryptographic challenge containing a unique nonce and timestamp. This securely confirms that you own the wallet address without sharing private keys or seed phrases.
Does KoinWallet ever ask for my private key or seed phrase?
Never. KoinWallet strictly follows zero-knowledge security standards. We never request, accept, or store your seed phrase or private keys. If any website asks for your 12- or 24-word phrase, it is an unsafe phishing attempt.
What are Limit and Market orders in the Spot Terminal?
A Limit Order allows you to specify the exact price at which you wish to buy or sell. It will only execute when the market reaches your chosen price. A Market Order executes immediately at the best available price in the live orderbook.
How are 42% APY staking rewards calculated and paid?
Staking yields are calculated per block based on the pool APY and the duration of your lock period. Rewards accrue in real time and can be claimed anytime via the Claim Rewards button directly into your spot balance.
How does Address Whitelisting protect my funds?
Address Whitelisting allows you to restrict outgoing crypto withdrawals exclusively to trusted addresses (like your personal hardware Ledger or cold storage). Any attempt to withdraw to an unwhitelisted address is automatically blocked.
What are the trading fees on KoinWallet?
Spot trading fees start at just 0.1% maker and 0.1% taker. VIP tier users and KPK token holders enjoy discounted fees as low as 0.04%.
